The successful VX series
has been redesigned from the ground up. The brand new Arai VX-3
bristles with updates. Most notably, the road race developed and
tuned Diffuser ventilation
system. A system that was introduced by Arai already in the mid 90¡¦s
and still sets the benchmark for optimum ventilation.
As always, form follows function with Arai. There are many
superficial things you can add to a helmet: things that may look
good, but that add nothing to the helmet¡¦s job. In this regard, Arai
produces functional helmets with functional innovations. Than, maybe
we¡¦ll look at the visuals. As riders, we know how important comfort,
fit, ventilation - and confidence ¡V are to us. And we think most of
us here at Arai are pretty typical riders.

sizes: XS-XXL
¡@
Arai¡¦s
first dirt helmet with diffuser-mount, high-speed
ventilation technology is worth its weight in gold. This
isn¡¦t ventilation ¡V it¡¦s air conditioning! Seven 10mm,
fully-closeable upper-vent holes in the
crown! Two pressurized front intakes (pressurized by the
peak). And five exhaust ports ¡V four of
which work in Arai¡¦s exclusive Diffuser design that creates
a tremendous amount of venturi vacuum at the rear
¡@
From the very beginning, Arai
determined - and still maintains - that a 45 radius of the
chin bar provides the needed flexibility to properly utilize
the helmet¡¦s overall oval egg shape and geometry to manage
impact energy in the event of a frontal impact.
¡@
¡@
The new VX-3 has been redesigned with
an additional 11mm of forward tilt ¡V and room! - to the top
portion of the chinbar nose area. (It¡¦s important to
remember, the length and radius of the chinbar has remain
unchanged, only the nose area has been modified.)
¡@
¡@
New Emergency Release cheek pad
design. Developed to allow easier access to an injured
rider, the cheek pads slide out easily with the use of the
integrated pull-tabs, which makes helmet removal much easier
for trained medical technicians.
¡@
¡@
The penetration test of a falling 3 kg
cone test striker from a height of 300 cm is conducted,
although it is not required in ECE 22-05.
¡@
¡@
New Side exhaust-port cowlings produce
an increased low-pressure area behind the vent for better
hot air extraction. Inside, a small foam dam helps absorb
and diminish excessive
noise - without sacrificing ventilation performance!
¡@
¡@
The closeable chinbar vent gate, first
introduced on the VX-PRO(DC), remains. It allows control of
airflow into the chin area (particularly welcome in
extremely-dusty conditions). It can be easily removed and
replaced if desired.
¡@
¡@
Under-peak air intake ports (an Arai
first). The idea of using the peak to collect and direct
incoming air into vent ports, greatly increased the
dirt-helmet ventilation.
¡@
¡@
An enhanced exhaust port is built into
the rear neckroll area of the interior EPS liner to enhance
hot-air extraction from the interior.
¡@
¡@
The new Delta-4 top/center vent
remains reversed on the VX-3 as an exhaust port for hot air
from the crown.
¡@
¡@
The VX-3 peak is nothing short of
radical! It scavenges and forces air into the forehead vent
ports for cooling, while at the
same time using multiple relief-ports to reduce ¡§bucketing¡¨
at higher speeds.
¡@
¡@
The new chin bar¡¥s ridges enhance the
structural integrity of the shell - while not being too
rigid.
¡@
¡@
Removable/Flexible rubber roost guard.
A large surface to block as much incoming debris as
possible. And with the top of the chinbar tilted forward,
the roost guard now provides additional ¡§nose¡¨ room.
¡@
¡@
Removable/Washable/Replaceable
interior head comfort liner and cheek pads. Dry- Cool®
materials for superior heat transfer and drying time. Makes
washing, or even swapping, liners between motos a snap.
¡@
¡@
Removable/Washable/Replaceable
chinstrap covers complete Arai¡¦s total package of
washability - or interchangeability
- of your helmet interior.
¡@
¡@
A one-piece, stamp-formed,
Stainless-Steel expanded-mesh screen provides a durable
barrier against roost while minimizing mudpacking.
¡@
¡@
A subtle shell recess allows the
goggle strap to pull the goggle back and against your face,
instead of out and away.
